RDI completes the "manly" Ford Racing Performance Parts 514 CID iron block crate engine with a 4150-pad intake for better driveability to go with very strong performance for the track and guarded tractability for the road. Passes Ford Racing Technology specified test for durability. The base FRPP D514 crate engine is tailored with carefully selected aftermarket components and tested to assure durability and basic performance for the track and excellent tractability for the road. Inspection, conversion and dyno work is by experienced, professional Ford race engine builders using top quality components provided and controlled by RDI. Dyno-tuned with premium fuel, it comes ready to install in your Superformance Mk III.
ENGINE FEATURES: 1. Base Engine: FRPP M-6007-D514 Crate Engine Assembly with M-6009-D514 2-bolt iron short block, nodular cast iron crankshaft, HD forged steel connecting rods, forged pistons with full floating pins and plasma moly-filled steel top rings. Compression ratio is 10.5:1. 2. Cylinder Heads: FRPP M-6049-SCJA "Super Cobra Jet" aluminum heads with premium stainless valves 2.200" intake, 1.760" exhaust. Dual valve springs. Chamber volume is 72cc. 3. Camshaft: FRPP M-6250-A514 solid-roller mechanical tappet, 0.647" intake and exhaust lift, 254º intake and 258º exhaust duration at 0.050" lift. 4. Valve train: FRPP multi-index true-roller timing chain and FRPP 1.73:1 ratio aluminum roller rocker arms. 5. Intake Manifold: Single plane aluminum "Victor, Jr." with 4150 series carburetor pad. 6. Carburetor: RDI modified Holley 870 CFM w/ vacuum secondary and electric choke. (Others are available.) 7. Air Cleaner: FRPP chrome 13-inch air cleaner. (Other air cleaners are available.) 8. Valve Covers: FRPP M-6582-C460 polished aluminum valve covers. (Other valve covers are available.) 9. Oil Pan: Performance “T” style with production oil pump and chrome moly steel oil pump shaft are installed. 10. Accessory Drive: FRPP aluminum under-drive V-belt pulley system with 60 Amp. 4-wire alternator. 11. Fuel Pump: Mechanical Carter high-performance pump with fittings and 3/8" hose to the carburetor fuel log. 12. Flywheel: McLeod aluminum flywheel installed with the production bellhousing cover plate, ready to receive the recommended McLeod 12” clutch kit. (Steel flywheel and other clutch packs are available.) 13. Ignition: FRPP billet aluminum distributor with FRPP high performance wires and loom. 14. Starter: High torque FRPP starter. Cable is included. Starter power relay recommended. 15. Testing: Engine is run-in and dyno-tested, inspected for leaks, then carefully crated for shipment. 16.
