RDI presents the RDI-COB600 engine package. It has been created to satisfy the Superformance Mk III owner desiring excess engine performance and a "600 cubic inch displacement engine" package. The RDI COB600 weighs 560 pounds, about the same as the iron block 351's, 100 pounds less than the FE iron block engines, and 150 pounds less than the 460 iron block engines.

All new Ford Racing Performance Parts (FRPP) and aftermarket components have been carefully selected, machined, assembled and tested to provide serious big block performance. Assembly is by experienced, professional Ford race engine builders using quality components provided and controlled by RDI. The engines are dyno-tuned with premium unleaded fuel and ready to install to complete your 600 Superformance Mk III.

ENGINE FEATURES

1. Short Block: FRPP A96 RDI aluminum 460 block with 4.600” bore. Billet 4.500" stroke crankshaft. Oliver billet connecting rods with ARP fasteners. Forged JE pistons. Internally balanced.

2. Cylinder Heads: Jon Kaase ported FRPP Super Cobra Jet heads with 2.200" Intake and 1.760" exhaust premium stainless steel valves, premium dual valve springs, retainers and keepers with Kaase performance valve seat work.

3. Camshaft: Custom grind Comp Cams billet mechanical roller camshaft with Comp Cams solid roller lifters.

4. Valve Train: FRPP multi-index true-roller timing chain, Comp Cams hardened 3/8" pushrods and FRPP 1.73:1 aluminum roller rockers on 7/16" studs.

5. Intake Manifold: Single plane FRPP “Victor Jr.“ style for optimum power on this large displacement engine.

6. Carburetor: RDI modified Holley 950 HP w/ mechanical secondary. (Others carburetors are available.)

7. Air Cleaner: FRPP cast aluminum "Cobra" air cleaner. (Other air cleaners are available.)

8. Valve Covers: FRPP polished aluminum valve covers. (Other valve covers are available.)

9. Oil Pan: Aviaid Road Racing, "T" style, front-sump with 9-quart capacity. FRPP high-volume oil pump and heavy-duty shaft. Pressure adjusted to compensate for external system losses.

10. Accessory Drive: March Performance under-drive V-belt pulley system with 95 Amp, 2-wire alternator.

11. Fuel Pump: Mechanical Carter high-performance with -8AN braided hose to the carburetor fuel log.

12. Flywheel: Ram 11", 184T billet aluminum flywheel installed to receive the Ram Street/Strip sintered puck clutch kit to accept a Tremec TKO II transmission. (Steel flywheels and other clutch packs are available.)

13. Ignition: MSD billet distributor with FRPP high performance wires and loom.

14. Starter: High torque FRPP starter. Cable included.

15. Testing: Engine is run-in and dyno-tested, inspected for leaks, then carefully crated for shipment.

16. Documentation: Engine specification, dyno sheet and installation instructions are packed with the engine.

17. Options: The RDI6007COB600 engine can be "personalized" for reasonable extra cost.
